Accessibility Statement

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the DEI4SME digital tool, including all of its language versions and the reports that the tool generates.

Accessibility standard

This service aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, as required by the EU Web Accessibility Directive, the European Accessibility Act and the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).

Compliance status

This service is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. The web interface has been reviewed against the level AA success criteria using keyboard-only operation and automated checks. The shortcomings we are aware of are listed below.

Known accessibility limitations

We are aware of the following shortcomings and are working to correct them:

  • The PDF reports generated by the tool are not tagged documents. Screen readers can read their text, but headings, tables and reading order are not conveyed structurally, and the document language stored in the PDF metadata is currently unreliable. If you need a report in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide the same content in an accessible form.
  • Some interface text and some report content is still shown in English in the Finnish, Swedish, Lithuanian and German versions, because translation is in progress.
  • The service has not yet been verified against a full assistive-technology test matrix. Testing so far covers keyboard-only operation, automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks and a code-level review, so results may vary between individual screen reader and browser combinations.
  • On some pages, small label texts do not yet meet colour-contrast requirements, results that appear after submitting an assessment are not announced automatically to screen readers, and some fields of the action-planning tool lack programmatic labels. We are working to correct these.

If any part of this service or of a generated report is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the content in an accessible format within a reasonable time and free of charge.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with the reply you receive, or you do not receive a reply within 14 days, you can contact the supervisory authority. The authority explains how to make a complaint and how such matters are handled.
